Personal Safety Ireland recognise the need and want for people to feel respected and valued in their work environment.

We are committed to assisting companies and staff in delivering the best service possible.  By investing in employees and through staff building, through programme can contribute to developing an understanding of communication, assertiveness and conflict resolution strategies.

This interactive programme is designed to assist all employees including frontline staff, managers, principals, business owners and all other employers when dealing with difficult or challenging situations. It will improve knowledge and awareness of personal safety techniques.  The methods and skills learnt in this programme will encourage staff to deal with situations with greater confidence enabling them to deliver in a more efficient way. Participation will develop interpersonal skills including communication, both visual and verbal, attitude and behaviour skills towards other including peers and members of the public.

This programme has theoretical and scenario based components tailored to the staff needs with visual and audio elements to the programme.

The tailored programmes meet the needs of employers and employees and promote diversity providing programmes to reflect and work in partnership with companies.

Throughout the programme participants will be asked to work together in groups assessing, evaluating and resolving scenario based examples of communication and behaviour, highlighting situations they may have encountered.

Working through the programme, participants will gain a greater knowledge and understanding of communication skills, assertiveness, and confrontation resolution strategies.  This programme will develop participants’ confidence and morale.  It will encourage how staff view and value themselves within their role and work towards a more respected and respectful work environment which will assist management in staff retention.

By respecting, listening and appreciating each other’s ideas and opinions the team will collectively understand the importance of working together and the importance of bringing the learnt elements of this programme to their work environment.

Through using visual, audio and group training strategies we aim to raise awareness and understanding of communication and associated behaviour.

On completion of the course, participants are asked to reflect and complete our feedback form which is optional and anonymous, copies of which can be provided to the employer. Certificate of attendance is issued to all participants.
